There are many adventures in the world, and each country, city, and town will have one.
To me, travel is itself an adventure. There is nothing more adventurous than experiencing, discovering, and even trying something completely new.
While there are many adventures available all over the world, there are also some that are simply not to be missed. Below is a list of the Top 10 Adventure Attractions in the World.
1. Malaysia: The Macau Tower Bungee Jump
The Macau Tower is where this bungee jump can be found in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. This jump is the highest free-falling bungee jump anywhere in the world at 233m (764ft).
Bungee jumping is a highly intense and extreme adventure that can feel more thrilling than jumping from an airplane.
2. Trekking Machu Picchu
Peru is a magical country with a lot of culture and history. It can be found all over the country, as well as in neighboring countries. The Inca Trail is the main tourist attraction for adventure travel.
It takes approximately 4 days to trek Machu Picchu. Camping facilities are available on the grounds. It is possible to be very difficult climbing the mountainsides. Some fitness may be necessary. It is worth the trek to reach Machu Picchu at sunrise, especially.
3. The SS President Coolidge is on the Wreck Dive
Scuba divers consider the SS President Coolidge, off the island Santos in Vanuatu, a Mecca. Two friendly mines destroyed the American troop carrier, originally an ocean liner of luxury, in 1942.
The ship is now about 20m below the surface of the water. Given its size, this ship makes it the most accessible wreck dive ship.
4. Safari in Kruger National Park
Kruger National Park is the best place to go on an African safari, or even see the Big 5 and the Small 5 game species.
Kruger, located in the northern-east corner South Africa, is home to the Big 5 and more than 500 bird species. It covers just under 19,000 km (over 7,000 mi sq).
5. Climbing Mt Kilimanjaro
Africa is also home to another amazing adventure, which is climbing Africa’s highest free-standing mountain. Mt Kilimanjaro is at 5,882m (19,341ft), but only 40% of climbers reach the summit.
Acclimatization is essential for all seven routes. It is recommended to combine this adventure with a safari in the area before you climb. These safaris could be at Ngorongoro Crater or the Serengeti.
6. Eisriesenwelt Caves
This is the world’s largest ice cave, measuring 42 kilometres in the Austrian Alps. However, the ice is only present for the first kilometre.
The Eisriesenwelt Caves can be accessed all year and are visited by nearly 200,000 people each year. It takes approximately an hour and a quarter to complete the round trip through the cave system, which will take you to several important sites.
7. Ice Diving
This is one of the most exciting adventures you can have. This adventure can be taken to Baffin Island, although most tours depart from Nunavut in Canada.
Although you may be able complete the dive with an Advanced Open Water license, drysuit certification will make it more enjoyable.
8. Diving with Great Whites
Although great whites are known for their fearsome reputation as notorious killers, there are still people who don’t believe it. Others want to witness this behavior for themselves. Or simply to see what a shark attack looks like from below the surface.
You can dive in a cage to see these magnificent whites up close. This is something you could do in South Africa, Australia or Mexico.
9. Swimming with Whale Sharks
The world’s largest shark does not hunt large sharks or fish. The gentle giant, known as the whale shark, can reach around 14m (46ft) in length. This shark only eats plankton despite its size.
Ningaloo Reef, Western Australia, has a long season when whale sharks visit the shore to feed. This gives visitors the chance to snorkel with them and also allows them to swim among the reef’s inhabitants. It measures 14 meters in length and will make you feel small, but it will provide an unforgettable experience.
10. Volcano National Park
The Volcano National Park is located on the Big Island of Hawaii and contains two active volcanoes, Muana Loa (active) and Kilauea (active). The volcanoes are also covered by the park, as well as the surrounding areas that are covered with dried lava and ashes.
Here, hiking tours are very popular. This park offers the opportunity to hike to both the volcanoes and to the section where hot lava flows into the oceans, creating steam and intense mist.
